An international action plan is a medium- and long-term operational instrument that provides local governments and regional actors with a tool for governance and planning of external action to improve the impact of international relations and contribute to regional development objectives.

Through its Catalogue of Services, the Provincial Council provides technical and financial support for the strategic planning of local authorities' international action to promote comprehensive and sustainable public policies on international relations. This support may include:

  • Preparation of strategic international action plans.
  • Support for improving the international promotion of municipalities and local stakeholders.
  • Actions to capitalise on, communicate and disseminate the international activities of local authorities.
  • Actions planned within the framework of international projects currently underway.
  • Evaluation of international action plans.
