Photovoltaic potential map

1/1000 scale viewer of the photovoltaic potential on rooftops and on the ground in the province of Barcelona.

Photovoltaic potential on roofs:

Viewer of the roofs that can be used to install photovoltaic solar energy. For each roof there is information on the use of the building, usable roof surface, maximum power, productivity and performance of the possible installation.

Photovoltaic potential on the ground:

The viewer analyses the 776,366 hectares of the province, of which it excludes 700,000 hectares for the installation of photovoltaics due to the natural, landscape and agricultural value of the land. Of the remaining 76,366 hectares, 18,859 hectares belong to areas where the impact on the territory is low (2.4% of the total area of the province).

The low impact spaces have been divided into three levels: with maximum priority (most optimal), they occupy anthropized soils, i.e. spaces degraded by human activity, such as old quarries, with high potential and with medium potential.

Energetic communities in operation

In this viewer you can consult the communities that are in operation in the province of Barcelona; they are differentiated by those that have received financial or technical support from the Diputació de Barcelona, those promoted by the Osona Energy Agency and those promoted by the Bages Energy Agency.
