Purging of the personnel at Barcelona's Provincial Council during the Franco regime
Committed to recovering historical memory, recognition, and reparation for the victims of Francoist repression, the General Archive publishes the data extracted from the analysis and archival processing of the files in the documentary series Purging of the personnel from the Barcelona Provincial Council's collection. The description and digitization work was carried out between 2021 and 2023 with funding from the Program of Democratic Memory of the Barcelona Provincial Council.
The publication of this data constitutes the first phase of a project that will culminate when the corporation establishes a procedure for the reparation and rehabilitation of the administrative functionary of the Provincial Council who have been purged and also for those who went into exile.
The search engine allows you to seek the name and surnames of the functionary, the municipality of birth, gender, workplace, whether or not they were sanctioned, and the type of file (purging, purging review, or salary claim).
