Transversal plan of gender of the General Archive of the Provincial Council of Barcelona 2024-2028

The General Archive of the Provincial Council of Barcelona has furthered the first transversal Plan of gender, a pioneering and strategic tool to apply the perspective of genus interseccional at all the processes, technicians and politicians of archive and documentary management as well as at the acts of diffusion and inquest.

The plan establishes a tracked of acts to conform the following general aims:

  • Promote the change at the organisational culture of the Office of Archive and Documentary Management of the Provincial Council of Barcelona mediating the app of the perspective of gender interseccional at all the processes, technicians and politicians of archive and documentary management of the Provincial Council of Barcelona.
  • Deploy politicians of archive and documentary management that favour the equality among persons with independence of his sex or gender, as well as of other characteristics that can be motif of inequalities.
  • Foster a plural and inclusive conservation of the documentary legate that take into account the memory of the wives and of the communities minoritzats or with less depiction.
  • Further acts of diffusion, fit and enquiry since a perspective of gender interseccional.

The Plan was approved by the Joint of Governance of Barcelona's Provincial Council the October 10, 2024 and features of 4 fields 15 specific aims and 43 acts at developing at the next 4 years.
