With this vision of the smart concept, the different departments of the Barcelona Provincial Council promote their own projects and support the planning and development of municipal initiatives, with the main goal of ensuring equity in access to quality services for all citizens across the territory, regardless of the size or location of their place of residence.
In this regard, the Barcelona Provincial Council supports initiatives for resource aggregation and optimization, which provide clear advantages for municipalities (cost reduction, access to services that could not be obtained individually, support and exchange of experiences...) as well as for citizens and businesses (standardization of solutions, simplification of processes...).
